there are so many errors and wrong interpretations, and just plain stupidity it would take an entire essay to correct. i am humbled by my own bad judgement to have ever given Travis an interview or discuss with him matters of such importance that appear to sail over his little brain.

That is one way of avoiding the issue..... and really when was he last time you wrote an essay Bob? I'm still waiting for Brian's response to my article The Immortality Key: Lost on The Road to Eleusis that Brian promised Hancock. I'll debate you and him together if you like. You sold out everything you claimed to stand for jumping on that ship.....

you know Chris, i was just telling Travis that your fine interview here reminded of how i had respected you and felt sorry our collegial friendship deteriorated. i don't know what you'd like to debate. i republished the Road to Eleusis because I thought the topic- drugs in western religion- should be more carefully examined, because it has important legal implications, as i wrote in the preface to the 3rd edition. i haven't sold anything out. i am all for collegial dialogue and I loathe dogmatism, egotism, dishonesty, deception, and profiteering.

Also, I have felt my own experience and interview with Travis has been fair, honest and accurate. What are you unhappy with in yours?

Rob you blocked me, I never blocked you, so its on you. And I'm happy to pick up a conversation with you. Email me at pantagruelion777@gmail.com and I'll send you pdf copies of my last couple of books. Are you aware of the findings at tel Arad, which verify my earlier research into cannabis and the ancient Hebrews?

I am of the understanding that you think I am 'jealous' of Brian, and not miffed, so how about you read my own essay on The Immortality Key, and let me know where you think it goes off the rails? https://www.cannabisculture.com/content/2021/03/14/the-immortality-key-lost-on-the-road-to-eleusis/

OK, i will. honestly i forget what the riff was. i thought you were upset at some of my positions on political subjects. i respect your scholarship on cannabis, from a distance, because i am not so much an historian or scholar of that period. to my intuition obviously cannabis is everywhere and for a long time. and it is important to show that, as you have done. i'm headed to the shore of the Aegean now to enjoy some hash and reflect on where to go with all this. glad to hear from you and to put this behind us. we share, apparently, being a bit used by Brian. I'm interested in friendships and honest rapport, our common humanity....

I think it was MAPs was working with Mosad, and tying in Doblin as some sort of agent, but it was probably a decade ago. I don't think Doblin is Mosad, but I also don't think alleviating the guilt of soldiers pursuing a genocide with MDMA, is what I envisioned for these substances.

I'm glad to reconnect in a friendly manner. I think you will find my recent work of interest, Liber 420: Cannabis, Magical Herbs and the Occult, documents a fascinating role for cannabis and other psychoactives in the foundation period of ceremonial magic and alchemy, with many translations from 16th and 17th century works which make direct mention.

i've been thinking a lot about this comment Chris. The first paragraph touches on two rather huge subjects. First Doblin's relationship with israeli Mossad. I didn't announce this to the public, Doblin did, in a MAPS mailing years ago, saying something like the greatest moment of his life was being admitted to the secret headquarters of a Mossad front, for his work with mdma. i know, to the un informed the link between intelligence agencies and the drug biz might seem outrageous, and easily avoided. but to those of us in the trenches it is well known, for example, that the CIA is up to its eyeballs in the heroin and cocaine business. it is a major source of their black op funding. it is also well known among those who investigate these subjects that the international ecstasy business is primarily run by israeli organized crime, with links to Mossad. here is one article, of many: https://www.salon.com/2002/05/07/students/

https://www.haaretz.com/2003-04-06/ty-article/israelis-at-center-of-ecstasy-drug-trade/0000017f-f981-d460-afff-fbe70efa0000

i don't think you want to get into this with me, and i myself have reservations about probing too deeply. people die when they expose such conspiracies. i am not a martyr.

the second paragraph is another huge topic, close to my heart, where i sense we strongly agree; the use of psychedelics or mdma to serve the war effort--in a highly profitable way for the war profiteers. this disgusts me to no end, and my speaking out on this is one reason i am marginalized, called names by people and industries that are threatened by critically examining what the fuck is really going on. to my mind, these kids that are freaking out over the atrocities they are ordered to commit in these savage, criminal wars, are the only sane human beings in the military. they're not the ones with a "disorder." it is the architects and engineers and the apathetic public that needs the benevolent awakening power of sacred drugs, including cannabis. so i'm glad we share that perspective. i've been fascinated and impressed with your diligent research revealing the role of cannabis in ancient religions. it is everywhere. pitiful that in the united states and elsewhere cannabis is forbidden, when much scholarly research shows it serves profound role in the history of religion. this is one, of many, proofs that america leads the way in totalitarian control over the religious impulse. a fully corrupt policy that people like Doblin exploit for their own pocket and political agenda....

now that i re-read this, a month later, and just after reading your two articles in Reason, which are excellent, i find more good in this piece than at first. when you first reached out to me years ago and I described my theory of The Enterprise you thought I was nuts. A year or so later, after you learned a bit you called me back to apologize. So now i wonder if you've educated yourself on any of the conspiracies that you seem ignorant of, like JFK or 9/11. From reading those Reason articles I want to commend you for taking on these huge topics so well. You do have a lot to learn, and I trust you will.

First, what is this bullshit about "Crack pot theories?" the Beatles body doubles? Huh? Why did you write that? Where did that come from? Who wants to gaslight me like that? And why would you believe them? For the record, and to rescue any bit of legitimacy you might want to maintain for yourself, please show us where did you ever get that idea that I think the Beatles were replaced by body doubles. to be clear, about 6 years ago a psychologist friend asked me what i thought about a 1966 idea that Paul McCartney died in a car wreck and was replaced by William Campbell Shearers. I first heard of this when I was ten years ago, and just scoffed at it. But my friend, author of many books on astrology and Jung and spiritual awakening, asked me to look into it, which I did. after reading several books and watching some documentaries i found the idea quite plausible. There are many data points that beckon further study, if one had the time or interest. Not me. But it is plausible. British media reported a car identical to McCartney's was totaled. McCartney and the rest of the Beatles disappeared for several months. William Campbell Shearers was a well known musician and leader of a popular band called Billy and the Peppers. He was a classically trained musician, far more than Paul. And their physical appearance was almost indistinguishable. After six months off the public radar the Beatles reappear, Paul sporting a thick beard. They only appear at a distance, performing the famous rooftop conference. Soon they start writing songs of a much greater musical sophistication. Oh, and William Campbell Shearers disappears from the face of the earth, never to be heard from again. So, yeah, I think that's a valid theory. And what's this bullshit about me saying I invented microdosing? Where did you get that piece of bullshit? Or do you just make shit up and call it journalism? I first heard about microdosing in the early 1980s. I forget from who. Either Albert Hofmann or Peter Stnafford. I did it myself a lot. I prescribed it to others sometimes. Microdosing was something everyone I knew who was into psychedelics knew about. Except Jim Fadiman, apparently. Because when I recommended it to him in 2010 to cure his writer's block, he said, 'microdosing? what's that?" but please show me and your couple of readers where you got that bullshit that I said i invented it? or someone else saying i invented it. or you have no cred, no integrity to call yourself a writer, much less expose a scam as big as the one you purport to. here's a thorough explication of my role in microdosing with a responsible and talented journalist. maybe you'd learn something; https://danikatz.locals.com/post/6451083/pod-drop-the-birth-of-microdosing-with-robert-forte-part-1
